National Pro Bono Week

In celebration of National Pro Bono Week the Temecula Law Resource Center organized a free legal clinic at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library.  The event took place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 10am-2pm. This was our biggest free legal clinic turnout. We had 47 patrons participate as well as 12 local attorneys. The topics covered at the clinic ranged from family law, civil, criminal, estate planning and business law.

The attorneys were Ed Miller, Frank Huang, Erik Dodd, Marie Wood, Rachel King, Amy Fisher, Barak Berlin, Stephen Darrow, Gordon Dayton, Robin Johnson, Mike Donaldson and Kiki Manti

These local attorneys are active members of the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association, including the Bar President, Barak Berlin and the Vice President Marie Wood. The local bar has been an invaluable resource for the free legal clinics. This clinic would not be possible without the contribution of these local attorneys who are giving back to the community.

I would like to thank my volunteers for the day, Suzanne Dombkowski and Ming Lu. Suzanne is a Temecula resident who aspires to attend law school. Ming retired from the Los Angeles Law Library and currently resides in Temecula.

Lastly, I want to thank the staff at the Riverside County Law Library and Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library for their support and encouragement. To see the programs grow over time really is a tribute to all the hard work and dedication of staff at each library.
