Hein Online has released a new database in an effort to compile information about the COVID-19 Pandemic. The database contains more than 530 titles and nearly 50,000 pages of information for subscribers to access.
As we accumulate more data surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, it understandably grows difficult to navigate how this information impacts us and finding reliable sources during your own research. Conducting research on COVID-19 can be challenging as more and more information about the virus is discovered and its impact is felt in areas we did not anticipate. When conducting research on this topic for your organization or for your own knowledge, it is important to retrieve information from reliable sources. With COVID-19, one of the main research challenges begins with defining your research question. As more information regarding the pandemic is released, researchers find themselves asking more questions, which could then affect your search regarding concepts and key terms. The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) discusses the importance of media literacy and critically analyzing information. Conducting an effective research strategy allows the user to collect more information, refine their research question, and expand their knowledge.
HeinOnline provides a comprehensive collection of government documents and resources to help users further their research into COVID-19. In addition to Government Documents, users can access external resources compiled by HeinOnline and other librarians. You can explore sections discussing the different areas of impact of COVID-19, scholarly articles, past pandemics, and additional resources. The database is reflective of a collaborative effort of the information community to highlight articles and resources to help users further their research into COVID-19
