Westlaw is a legal research system that makes searches more intuitive and efficient. Search options include advanced searching, plain language searching, KeyCite, and an extensive narrow feature. Our subscription allows access to California & Federal primary law as well as many secondary resources published by West. Most results may be printed, downloaded, or emailed.
You can access Westlaw remotely in two ways:
Patrons call 1-800-WESTLAW (937-8529) and ask for Technical Support. When asked the product say “Patron Access.” An agent will create a Username and Password for you. This line is open from 7am-7pm PST.
Both options provide you with 20 hours of access over a 14 day period
Lexis Research System provides an expansive collection of online content. Search options include advanced searching, plain language searching, and Shepards. Our subscription allows access to California & Federal primary law as well as many secondary resources published by Lexis. Most results may be printed, downloaded, or emailed.
Request access here temporary Lexis Advance® ID until May 31, 2021 –
If you cannot otherwise conduct legal research you are welcome to register for a temporary Lexis Advance® ID . This ID will be good until May 31st, 2021. This ID allows you to conduct research on the cases codes, and agency materials needed for their legal work and personal legal research.
If you need access to the wider set of materials our library subscribes to please reach out to us and provide your full name and e-mail address along with a request for a custom ID and we will work with LexisNexis to create login credentials for you that will be delivered to you directly from our LexisNexis partners to your e-mail. These ID’s are good for three days and can be requested multiple times if necessary. We are happy to work with you to maintain access to justice during this time.

EBSCOhost is the world’s most-used reference resource. Our subscription includes digital versions of NOLO Press items including forms on a wide range of legal topics.

InfoTrac indexes law review articles and much more. Many full-text articles are available. Coverage of more than 1500 major law reviews. InfoTrac is updated daily with coverage starting from 1980.
LLMC is a non-profit cooperative of libraries dedicated to preserving legal titles and government documents on film, while making copies inexpensively available either in microfiche format or digitally through its on-line service LLMC-Digital. LLMC provides libraries with a reliable, budget-friendly source of film and/or digital replacement when their older, physically deteriorating books became too burdensome to store given diminished use.
